The ancient art of Japanese braiding known as Kumihimo is the basis for this piece. Sturdy satin cords of deep brown and gold were braided into a necklace that is 25 inches long, and secures with a lobster claw clasp. Hanging from the cord is a hand-crafted glass pendant in shades of brown and black, with swirls of silver foil and a myriad of colors inside. The pendant is detachable, and can be worn on other chains or beaded necklaces that you already own. Weighs about 1 1/4 ounces with the pendant, which weighs about one ounce.
